Abstract

La N-methyl-N-phenylhydrazone de methyl-3 benzaldehyde (I), C 15 H 16 N 2 , cristallise dans P2 1 /a avec a=12,106, b=18,398, c=5,800 A, β=91,92 o , Z=4; affinement jusqu'a R=0,056. La N-methyl N-phenylhydrazone de methoxy-3 benzaldehyde (II), C 15 H 16 N 2 O, cristallise dans P2 1 avec a=13,975, b=7,953, c=5,933 A, β=96,81 o , Z=2; affinement jusqu'a R=0,053. Ces deux molecules, non centrosymetriques, sont pratiquement planes et ont une importante hyperpolarisabilite. Elles se differencient par l'efficacite de generation d'harmoniques 2 (SHG), mesuree sur une poudre, generation 12,5 fois plus grande pour le compose (II) que pour le compose (I). Cette difference est due aux modes d'empilement differents des molecules
