Abstract

Core electron spectroscopy has been applied to the study of a solution substrate of CsI in formamide. Gibbs monolayers are formed on the substrate by dissolution of ionic surfactants and the resulting ionic composition of the surface region is investigated via core level spectroscopy. Differences in the composition are found which can be related to the character of the surfactant.
