Abstract

Tripod and inverted tripod-type four-level quantum coherent systems are the subschemes of four-level quantum system and have strong comparability. According to the dipole transition selection rules, and the transition channels with the corresponding laser fields, tripod and inverted tripod-type schemes have one realistic channel subscheme (RCS) respectively, each RCS can be further classified into eight realistic intensity subschemes (RISs) according to different laser fields applied on different channels. In this paper, the structure multiformity of tripod and inverted tripod-type four-level quantum systems are discussed and the demonstrations on some subschemes are also given.
