Abstract

Structure elucidation is the most important application of molecular spectroscopy. Nowadays the computer enables the chemists to derive more of the desired information from the recorded spectra by exploiting structure property relationships. Sophisticated methods of computational chemistry, on-line access to large databases, and expert systems are those disciplins, which are important for progress in spectroscopy.
