Abstract
This paper analyses the influence of the type of thermal spraying and processing conditions on the structure, phases and tribological behaviour of Fe-based self-fluxing alloy coatings. Two processes are studied: plasma spraying combined with flame remelting and plasma spraying combined with laser remelting. The type of remelting affects the structure and phases composition of Fe-based coating significantly. The laser beam velocity influences the alloy structure changes considerably. These changes affect the microhardness of the coating. The types of remelting influences the average and momentary friction coefficients as well as relative wear rates of the coating.
