Abstract

The conditions of electrochemical deposition of the poly-3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (PEDOT) thin films and the PEDOT films doped with graphene oxide (GO) on the surface of a transparent SnO2 electrode have been established. As it has been shown by the transmission electron microscopy (TEM) the synthesized polymer films have the globular structure with uniform distribution of aggregates with the measuring of 80–90 nm. It has been found that the doping of PEDOT with GO nanoparticles led to the increase of globule sizes to 200–250 nm and composite structure formation with graphene oxide. The PEDOT doping with GO caused changes in the optical spectra of the polymer film and significantly increased (by 10 times) the sensory sensitivity of the obtained films to nitrogen (IV) oxide.
