Abstract

The structure of welds of titanium alloy PT-3V and austenitic steel 08Kh18N10T obtained by vacuum diffusion welding with the use of different intermediate coatings is studied. To create a process for depositing intermediate coatings and diffusion welding, batches of laboratory test bars with transverse weld are fabricated. Materials for the intermediate coatings and modes for solid-phase welding are developed for the test pieces. Metallographic and microscopic x-ray spectrum studies are performed. The use of intermediate coatings is shown to be a promising approach.
