Abstract

The spectroscopic characteristics of new π-linked polymers, whose main chain contains tetracoordinated silicon, acetylene groups, and 1,4-biphenyl or 2,7-fluorene, in chloroform have been investigated. It has been established that the spectral features of the absorption, fluorescence, fluorescence excitation, and fluorescence polarization spectra of these polymers are due to the inhomogeneous broadening of the electronic states of the centers of two types formed in the disordered polymer chain.
