Abstract
1. The lengths of the element-carbon bonds and the element-ligand distance for neutral and ionic semisandwich complexes of type C5H5E and C5H5EXn are both linear functions of the atomic radii of the central metal atom. 2. Using this function we estimated the length of the out-of-plane C-C bond of the Cp ring of the cluster ion C5H5C+, which is in good agreement with that calculated by the CNDO/2 method.
