Abstract

Abstract Platinum atoms deposited on a TiO2 (110) surface were studied by X-ray photoelectron diffraction, and the structure of the platinum particles was clarified. It was found that after annealing at 823 K for 30 min the platinum particles coalesced and that the structural model of platinum particles based on the (111) surface of the fcc crystal explained the experimental XPED patterns very well.
