Abstract

Characteristics of a gas-liquid annular jet which employs gas passing through a pipe at the center of a nuzzle are investigated. That is, the power spectrum of which component in high frequency region is bigger than that of a normal jet, volume flowrate quality, and pressure distributions of the jet of which bubbles exist over the cross section are analyzed. Abrasives can be mixed homogeneously in the annular jet through the inner pipe and collide with the impinging plate. The annular jet has excellent characteristics and hence is effective in use of erosion or washing.
