Abstract

This study was designed to explore the relationships among leadership behavior, organization climate, team cohesion and sport satisfaction for table tennis coach, and to construct a structure model. College table tennis athletes were participated in this study and subjected to leadership behavior scale, organization climate scale, team cohesion scale, and sport satisfaction scale for table tennis coach. Total 491 valid scales were collected from the participants and data was analyzed by Pearson product moment correlation and confirmatory factor analysis. The results showed that coach leadership behavior affected athletes' sport satisfaction, and was mediated by organizational climate and team cohesion in the structure model. On the other hand, when table tennis athletes perceived more coach leadership behavior from the coaches, they would have stronger team cohesion and thus generated more sport satisfaction. According to the results, this study suggested that the sport teams should strengthen coach leadership behavior, and it would give rise to more benefits of organization climate, team cohesion and sport satisfaction.
