Abstract

Magnetic susceptibility of solid solutions of bismuth orthoniobates of low-and high-temperature modifications containing chromium was studied. Parameters of exchange interactions in the dimeric clusters of nickel atoms and also the distribution of monomers and dimers in the solid solutions were calculated. The crystal structure of bismuth orthoniobate of the high-temperature modification is characterized by a greater tolerance to the formation of oxygen vacancies, resulting from heterovalent substitution.
