Abstract
Structure evolution of rapidly quenched Al65Ni10Si25 alloy under heating and isothermal annealing was investigated using DTA and X-ray diffraction methods. The process of structure transformation from the as-quenched state into a nanocrystalline state has been studied. The occurrence of hexagonal H-phase was observed within wide temperature and time interval. It was shown that the metastable H-phase has not decomposed after isothermal annealing during 5 hour at temperatures 403 – 463 K.
