Abstract

Recent progress on structure function measurements in muon‐ and neutrino‐Deep Inelastic Scattering by the NMC and CCFR collaborations has significant impact on global QCD analysis and parton distribution determination. This review consists of: (i) a brief survey of existing parton distributions and comparison of their predictions at small‐x comaprd to the new data; (ii) a discussion of issues relevant to new quantitative QCD global analysis; (iii) a summary of results obtained by recent global analysis using the new data; (iv) relation of these results to current collider physics measurements at the Tevatron; and (v) challenges and prospects.
