Abstract

Results of a measurement of the nucleon structure functions using neutrinos will be presented. The experiment has been carried out by the CERN-Dortmund-Heidelberg-Saclay collaboration1 at the CERN SPS using a counter set-up. The detector was designed for inclusive studies of neutrino interactions m iron by measuring the momentum vectors of outgoing muons and the total energy of the produced hadrons. The processes under consideration are $$v{\rm N} \to {\mu ^{ - }}X$$ (1) $$v{\rm N} \to {\mu ^{ + }}X$$ (2) They are illustrated in Fig. 1.
