Abstract

The study deals with the determination and the analysis of local instantaneous data obtained from mass transfer measurements at the surface of the inner rotating cylinder when a laminar vortex flow of liquid exists betw een two coaxial cylinders Only one intercylinder gap (05 cm) is studied Tw o classes of flow are distinguished through the eddy structure itself they allow an explanation of previous overall mass transfer results to be made Also the evolution of the eddy structure of the flow with the hydrodynamical parameters Re a (varied from 30 to 770) and Ta (varied between zero and 1500) is examined
