Abstract
Even though their HPLC peaks overlap, vitamin A acetate isomers 1 (11-cis) and 2 (11,13-di-cis) can be distinguished and their 1H NMR spectra measured. Coupled HPLC and 1H NMR spectroscopy is the method of choice.
