Abstract

Structural studies of superionic glasses in the AgGeS system were performed using neutron diffraction with isotopic substitution of silver (107Ag, 109Ag and natAg) to understand the local environment of Ag+ ions. Real-space correlations, with and without Ag contributions, have been obtained from the first differences of the differential functions, D(r). The second differences of the D(r) functions yielded the AgAg correlation function. GeS and AgS correlations were also identified and their coordination numbers and bond lengths estimated.
