Abstract

This presentation gives a review of the conformal field theory (CFT)for the Yang-Lee edge singularity of the 2D Ising model and describes a numerical test of that CFT's prediction of a universal amplitude. The review explains why the (A4, A1) minimal CFT was identified with the Yang-Lee edge singularity. The numerical test uses transfer matrix and finite-size scaling techniques to measure the structure constant at the Yang-Lee edge singularity and compares the measured value to the prediction from the (A4,A1) minimal CFT.
