Abstract

We have studied the thermal properties of copper and iron nanopowders supported on high-silica ZSM-5 zeolites. The results demonstrate that the attachment of metal nanoparticles to the zeolite surface improves the oxidation resistance of the metals. The oxidation onset temperature and the temperature range of the weight gain due to the oxidation of the metal nanopowders depend on the nature of the zeolite matrices and the metal.
