Abstract

The structure and texture of the ores and ore-bearing metasomatic rocks at the Pravourmiisky tin-tungsten deposit are discussed. The zonal distribution of various genetic and morphological types of structure and texture has been revealed in vertical sections of the ore zone. The most diversity with a prevalence of cataclastic texture is characteristic of the middle (in section) ore zone segment, where the main economic greisen-type tin mineralization is hosted. Upsection, this mineralization gives way to the quartz-tourmaline Cu ore with widespread exsolution microtextures indicating high-temperature ore deposition. The structural and textural diversity of the ore is caused by the long-term geological history of the deposit under conditions of low-amplitude strike-slip and thrust faulting when compression was repeatedly followed by periods of relative quiescence or weak extension.
