Abstract

In order to substantiate the choice of the temperature of heat or combined treatment with the use of rolling heat or with individual heating, it is expedient to determine the temperature dependence of the grain size of the steel. The present work concerns the effect of the temperature of heating for rolling on the structure and properties of low-carbon (VSt3ps) and low-alloy (09G2S, 09G2FB, 16G2AF, 15G2AFDps, 14Kh2GMR) building steels. In order to bring the structure of the specimens into correspondence with the structure of slabs slowly cooled in air after rolling the ingots under the conditions of a metallurgical plant, the preforms were subjected to a preparatory heat treatment. The temperature dependences of the grain size of austenite and the mechanical properties of the steels are presented.
