Abstract

Abstract BaSO4 precipitation membranes are formed by interdiffusion of an aqueous solution of BaCl2 and Na2SO4 across a cellophane skin. The properties of these membranes have been explained in terms of an adsorbed charge model. Experiments are reported to test this model.
