Abstract

Prenatal care coordination (PNCC) is a unique fee-for-service Medicaid benefit that aims to improve birth outcomes among high-risk women by facilitating access to medical, social, educational, and other services. Programs such as PNCC in Wisconsin and other states have been shown to reduce rates of adverse birth outcomes. However, PNCC does not follow a specific curriculum or programmatic structure and is implemented inconsistently and unevenly across place and time.
