Abstract

We carry out two-dimensional computer simulations of structural phase transition in vortex lattices between a hexagonal symmetry and a square symmetry in d-wave superconductors. Our model is an extended time-dependent Ginzburg–Landau equations including fourth-order derivative terms reflecting the d x 2− y 2 symmetry. The kinetics of the structural transition is studied by analyzing the scattering function of the lattice structures and by extracting the time dependence of the volume fraction of the hexagonal ordered region.
