Abstract

Summary form only given. Electrodeposition of cobalt is a complex and rich problem. Several reports have shown that the wire diameter, deposition conditions, additives and temperature can give rise to very different structural and magnetic properties. We have studied the structural and magnetic properties of Co nanowires as a function of the electrolytic bath acidity. The structural properties have been studied by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and the magnetic properties have been characterized by hysteresis loops and ferromagnetic resonance (FMR).
