Abstract
The objective of this paper is to discuss the structural safety analysis of large framed offshore structures on distributed memory parallel computers. It involves: automatic FEM domain decomposition, sparse multifrontal method, elastic-plastic incremental analysis with strain-hardening and large displacements effects and reliability analysis procedures. An application is presented to illustrate the strategy potentialities on the Intel iPSC/860 hypercube.
