Abstract
Abstract In this work monoclinic distortion of CeNi2Sn2 and LaNi2Sn2 were investigated in the temperature range between 8–300 K. The lattice parameters and volume of CeNi2Sn2 show an anomalous volume increment. ΔV = V(LaNi2Sn2) - V(CeNi2Sn2) as a function of T is proportional to the resistivity increment Δρ = ρ(CeNi2Sn2) -ρ(LaNi2Sn2).
