Abstract

Based on improved flow and heat transfer coupling calculation model of helical baffles heat exchanger, the paper adopts multi-objective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO) to optimize its structural parameters. The shell pass nusselt number and shell pass pressure drop are selected as the objective function, and helical angle and amount of lap are selected as decision variables to obtain optimum combinations of structural parameters. This research provides references for design of helical baffles heat exchanger.
