Abstract

Ferromagnetic nanoparticles in a carbon matrix were synthesized by thermal decomposition of organic precursor maleic anhydride using different molecular weight percentages of organometallic precursor ferrocene at temperature of 900 and 980 ∘ C . The effect of preparation treatment on the phase composition, microstructure and magnetic properties were investigated using X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, Mössbauer spectroscopy and superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometer.
