Abstract
Sol–gel synthesized pure, Pr, Ce doped and Ce–Mn co-doped BiFeO3 samples show that doping and co-doping increases the symmetry with suppressed secondary phases. Microstructural investigation indicated particles and highly dense rectangular grains images with different sizes and shapes. M–H and P–E loop study shows that magnetic and ferroelectric properties are strongly dependent on doping and co-doping. Frequency dependent dielectric properties of samples concluded improvement in various parameters. Leakage current study shows that there is decrease in leakage behavior for Pr, Ce doped samples but increment for Ce–Mn co-doped BiFeO3 for applied field.
