Abstract

Abstract The bulk magnetostrictive Co Cr 0.4 Fe 1.6 O 4 was synthesized using solid state reaction technique. The correlation of structural properties with magnetic and dielectric properties is studied using powder X-ray diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscope, Vibrating sample magnetometer and Broadband dielectric spectroscopy. The obtained value of magnetization and soft magnetic nature is attributed to the mix cubic spinel crystal structure. The low frequency dielectric dispersion has been observed, which is associated with the presence of large vacant sites and its polycrystalline nature.
