Abstract

We report an X-ray radial distribution function study of Li 2SiS 3 glass done using Mo K α radiation. SiS and LiS interactions occur at 2.16 and 2.67Å respectively. Si is surrounded by four sulfur atoms. Two SiSi interactions at 3.7 and 4.26Å confirm the absence of edge sharing among SiS 4 tetrahedra. Li is surrounded by sulphur atoms at 2.67Å, with an average coordination number 5.3. Results are compared with those of the molecular dynamics study of the same glass.
