Abstract

Results of a study of nonmonotonic loading of the elastic filler in a thin cylindrical shell by accounting for Coulomb friction are presented. An analytical description of the structural damping loop is obtained based on the solution of contact problems using applied models of shell and filler. The effect of loading cycle asymmetry on histeris is properteis of the shell-type damper is is studied.
