Abstract

• The analytical hierarchy process (AHP) is introduced to define the weight coefficients in the dynamic model updating. • The function with combined natural frequency and structural dynamic response is established for dynamic model updating. • The influence of weight coefficient parameter on model updating is demonstrated by the numerical analysis. In present work, the dynamic model updating problem is discussed to improve the accuracy of numerical analysis model, in which the natural frequencies parameter and structural dynamic response parameter values are combined as objective function. By consideration of the influence of natural frequency parameter and dynamic response parameter, the optimization formulation for dynamic model updating is established. The analytical hierarchy process (AHP) is introduced to define the weight coefficients in the optimization equation for dynamic model updating, and a normalized model of weight coefficients is proposed. Finally, the mounting structure for example, the dynamic model updating is carried out based on the model experimental results. The comparison of the update results of the different weight coefficient parameters indicates the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.
