Abstract
Zn-ion Batteries In article number 2200255, Linsen Li, Yijin Liu and co-workers visualize the nucleation and growth of Zn dendrites in a functioning Zn-ion battery. Their study reveals that the Zn plating behavior is collectively modulated by cell/electrode architecture, substrate local morphology, electrochemical protocols, and surface chemistry. These insights are expected to critically inform the development of next-generation dendrite-free and long-span aqueous Zn-ion batteries.
