Abstract

Terahertz wave is a kind of electromagnetic wave between microwave and infrared light. The discipline of this band includes both electronics and optics. Compared with microwave, visible light, X-ray and other electromagnetic wave, terahertz wave has both the advantages of high resolution, penetration, direction and safety without radiation damage. Therefore terahertz imaging can be used as a supplement to existing imaging technology, especially suitable for the application of human body security check technology. In the field of terahertz human security check technology, the miniaturization, high integration and low cost radiometer is the core component of the system. In this paper the structural design idea of terahertz passive imaging radiometer based on direct detection is introduced from the perspectives of miniaturization, integration and cost reduction.
