Abstract

The structural characterization of polyion complex LB films of perfluoroundecanoic acid-polyethyleneimine was studied using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. From these results, it was found that the fluorocarbon chains in the LB films are located close to the LB film-air interface and are considerably tilted with respect to the surface normal.
