Abstract

A spatial dimension is introduced into input-output structural decomposition analysis. The two US multiregional input-output data sets, for 1963 and 1977, are used to examine the individual contributions of changes in interindustry technological coefficients, interregional trade coefficients, final demand levels and final demand mix to structural change in the US multiregional economy over that period.
