Abstract

The compound Cu2Se has been synthesized and its crystal structure has been studied. Structural studies were carried out by angle dispersive XRD method. Structural phase transition was detected by analyzing the spectra obtained in the temperature range [Formula: see text]–1000[Formula: see text]K. It was found that, under normal conditions, this compound has an orthorhombic crystal structure. At a temperature [Formula: see text][Formula: see text]K, a phase transition occurs from orthorhombic to cubic with the formation of a highly symmetrical phase. The values of crystallographic parameters were determined for each phase.
