Abstract

Pseudo-ternary system Li2O·MoO3–CaO-GeO2 was investigated. The concentration and temperature regions of crystallization of a new compound Li2CaGe6O14 were experimentally established. Single crystals from this compound were grown and it structure was solved by single crystal XRD investigation. The chemical composition was confirmed by electron probe microanalyses (EPMA) and solid state synthesis. DSC measurements and analyses of the Li2CaGe6O14 melting processes were used to clarify the thermal behavior of the new compound.
