Abstract

ABSTRACTThe geometrical structures and magnetic properties of (n = 2–6) magnetic clusters have been systematically investigated using Monte Carlo simulations. The transitions temperatures are deduced from the thermal magnetisation and magnetic susceptibility of for different size. The effect of crystal fields and exchange interactions on the magnetisation has been investigated. Magnetic hysteresis cycles with different clusters, temperatures and exchange interactions are obtained. Superparamagnetism in cobalt clusters has been observed.
