Abstract
Polycrystalline samples of (Pb 1− x Sr x )(Li 1/4La 1/4Mo 1/2)O 3 ( x=0.00, 0.03, 0.07, 0.10) were synthesized by a solid-state reaction technique. Preliminary structural studies were carried out by X-ray diffraction technique (XRD) which suggested the formation of the single phase desired compound with orthorhombic structure at room temperature (RT). Detailed studies of dielectric constant ( ε) and dielectric loss (tan δ) as a function of frequency (1–10 kHz) at RT and also as a function of temperature (from RT to 453 K) at 10 kHz suggest that the compounds undergo diffuse phase transition (DPT). Measurement of dc resistivity ( ρ) both as function of biasing electric field (1 kV/m to 10 kV/m) at and RT temperature (RT to 600 K) at a constant biasing electric field suggest the compounds have negative temperature coefficient of resistance (NTCR).
