Abstract

The Flash method was employed to prepare Ni0.6 Zn0.4 Crx Fe2-x O4 nano particles at x = 0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1 and examined by XRD, FTIR and electrical properties such as dielectric constant and resistivity with temperature and characterized for structural analysis. The peaks of XRD at (022), (111), (222), (113), (224), (333) (004), and (044) show that the samples prepared at x = 0.0 , 0.2 and 0.4 have a spinel cubic structure with single - phase, and at x =0.6, 0.8 and 1, there is a secondary phase partial formation of hematite (a-Fe2O3) with spinel phase. Due to their magnetic properties and their use in various applications, Ferrite nanoparticles acquire technological and scientific significance in recent years particularly when the particles size get closer to nanometer scale. Ferrite nanoparticles are utilized radio-frequency coils, rod antennas, and high-frequency transformer cores. In addition, they are also employed in integrated circuits of high-speed, nano-electronic devices, as well as for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), as contrasting agents in the biomedical field. Spinel ferrites have electronic and magnetic properties with good, relying heavily on the distribution of cation among the octahedral and tetrahedral sites.
