Abstract

This work is devoted to the synthesis, the structural study, mainly by X-ray diffraction, and to the investigation of the electrical and dielectric properties of solid solution Ba0.9Ce0.033Ca0.05TiO3. This compound was synthesized, by the solid route, in the form of powder and massive ceramic. We have performed dielectric and electrical conductivity measurements which demonstrate the ferroelectric nature of this compound. The X-ray diffraction study established the existence, at room temperature, of a perovskite phase with tetragonal symmetry. Dielectric relaxation time (τ) was adjusted by Arrhenius law with the activation energy of 42.5 meV.
