Abstract
We describe the isolation, cloning, and structural characterization of cDNAs encoding TR2 receptor and TR3 receptor and the expression of the receptor proteins. The natural ligands for these nuclear receptor-like proteins are unknown. TR2 receptor exists in four variant forms which differ in the putative ligand-binding domain. The expression of TR2 receptor in rat ventral prostate and TR2 receptor and TR3 receptor in the human prostatic carcinoma cell line LNCaP is discussed.
