Abstract

THE concentration of strontium in sea water from the English Channel has been estimated by Desgrez and Meunier1 as 13·5 mgm. per litre, and this value has been confirmed by Thomas and Thompson2, who obtained for water of 19 per mille chlorinity from the Pacific coast of America a value of 13 mgm. per litre, corresponding to a Ca/Sr ratio of 30.
