Abstract

The effect of temperature on correlations in the Knudsen layer under conditions of strong subsonic condensation of a polyatomic gas is investigated. The method of moments is used to demonstrate that the dependence of pressure outside of the Knudsen layer on the flow temperature at a fixed value of the Mach number has a maximum. The limiting dependences of pressure on the Mach number are obtained for low and high values of flow temperature.
