Abstract

Injection locking and pulling of LC multiphase oscillators with multiple properly phased injection signals are analyzed in strong injection regime. Analytical closed-form formulas for lock range and instantaneous phase are presented for the first time. To leverage the present knowledge about injection locked oscillators, the analytical findings of this brief are derived in alignment with previous corresponding studies toward single-stage LC oscillators with single-injection signal. Finally, the proposed analysis for locking and pulling findings is verified by circuit simulations.
